How to Build More Momentum for Your Success

There’s an old adage, “success breeds success.” I’ve personally found this to be true. Look around and you will see evidence of this, too. Think Tiger Woods, Oprah, Martha, and Donald Trump.

Are you so busy focusing on the next “big thing” that you forget to acknowledge what you have accomplished?

Lots of people make that mistake. One of my mentors, Kendall Summerhawk, starts our coaching calls with the question: “What successes did you have this week?” Kendall taught me the importance of acknowledging your wins. Whether they be big or small, you take them all!

Two critical things happen when you take the time to appreciate your successes:

1.  You “re-live” the success and feel the positive energy. Being in a state of positive energy is always a good thing!

2.  Evaluate your success. What factors helped create this success? Make a note of it and DO THESE THINGS again and continue the success cycle. Taking time to understand how you created this “win” allows you to duplicate it in the future.

So, celebrate those wins. Go out for a celebratory dinner, shout it from the mountain top, or call a friend to share the news. I guarantee that acknowledging and celebrating your wins will build your momentum, helping you to create even more success. Watch out world!

To Your Success,
